The best race on xbox one. Extreme speed

With the update in November 2016, Forza Horizon 3 deservedly took its first place and confidently maintains the previously established high standard of the racing game genre. Powered by the ForzaTech engine (also used for Forza 6), Forza Horizon 3 is the most advanced exclusive for XBOX ONE consoles, holding the title since the XBOX 360. Thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere technology, PC players will also be able to enjoy the gameplay from their computer with Windows 10.

The best graphics of the huge surrounding world with the beautiful landscapes of Australia this time amazes with the quality of the graphics. The models of cars and objects in the surrounding world are beautifully drawn. Unlike its predecessor (Forza 5), which lacked game content, Forza Horizon 3 is rightfully the best racing game this moment. Many players will prefer Project Cars as a simulator, but Forza Horizon 3 is the most advanced game, distinguished by the integrity of the representation of the racing genre: 460 cars, 26 circuits, night racing, rain, 24 cars in each race and a modernized multiplayer system that makes its less complicated for beginners. In addition, you will get stunning graphics in 1080p resolution, 60fps frame rate and the perfect balance of realism/playability. The 10th anniversary of the Forza franchise on Xbox was truly a success.

Project CARS

While Forza Motorsport 5 was a disappointment for players for several key reasons, Project Cars managed to avoid these problems and presented the world with a truly advanced product, although it was not without launch problems and delays that fueled the interest of racing fans on Xbox One consoles. Unlike Forza, which has an advantage in video quality, focusing the efforts of the developers on the graphical component, this game is not so good in this regard. For some reason, the video resolution in Project Cars has been reduced to 900p. It is quite possible that this was done to achieve 60fps. You get 16 cars to race and a decent selection of real world class racing tracks.

The track selection is probably the star of the Project Cars show: you don't just get a choice of big and famous tracks like Silverstone, Dubai, Le Mans, but also some less well known ones like Cadwell Park in the UK. To increase the level of difficulty, you can even choose the famous Cadwell track, originally designed for motorcycle racing - the narrow and difficult route will require skill. The first days of the launch of Project Cars were filled with problems, but most of them were resolved quickly enough and at the moment this game occupies a worthy place for fans of realism in the genre of racing simulators on Xbox One

Experienced players of the series will find the opportunity to hone their skills and improve their cornering speed on real world championship tracks without leaving their Xbox One.

Trackmania Turbo

Racing doesn't always have to be realism, luxurious environments and never-ending lists of cars, sometimes it can just be high speed and thrill- this is the niche chosen by Ubisoft's Trackmania Turbo. Based on the "time attack" principle and defying the laws of physics, this furious racing game offers a well-executed, entertaining racing gameplay experience for Xbox One.

Trackmania Turbo provides a range of cars and tracks to choose from for racing alone or with friends online. If you're looking for racing fun on Xbox One, Trackmania Turbo provides a truly decent option without the hassle of thorny paths career development and the need to level up to continue the gameplay.

What gamer doesn't like driving fast? Of course, there are some, but they are probably the exception. Most players will not refuse to try their hand at arcade racing or a serious car simulator. If you like to explore large open worlds in your favorite car or complete racing laps at insane speeds and you have an Xbox One, then we hasten to rejoice: the console is a real paradise for racing fans. In this ranking of the best racing games for Xbox One, we'll help you choose the game that suits your tastes.

The environment is very diverse: you can climb deep into the jungle and wild forests, drive along the beach in your favorite car, or drive to the rural outback from a noisy metropolis. No one forces you to strictly follow the plot: explore the world of Forza Horizon 3 for your own pleasure. If you want, take part in competitions, pass tests, but if not, just explore the world and ride.

The game perfectly combines in one bottle the realistic controls and physics of the Forza Motorsport series with rich network capabilities and a lot of fun from the game. Owners of the upgraded Xbox One X console and a 4K TV will be able to enjoy even more detailed game graphics.

Dirt 4

Speaking about the best racing games for Xbox One, we cannot ignore Dirt 4. The project is suitable for those who are partial to the rally type of racing. Whether you like arcade racing or serious car simulators, the game will offer you two types of controls to choose from. The difficulty level and intelligence of the AI are also adjustable, as are other race assistance options. Thanks to the low barrier to entry, every gamer will enjoy the game.

The career structure in the fourth part became more friendly, the number of game modes increased, and the emphasis was placed on fun rides - Dirt 4 is suitable for those who expect exciting gameplay from racing above all.

Best Action Race

Split/Second

Split/Second is one of the most underrated racing games in history. Thanks to backwards compatibility on Xbox One, you can now enjoy this unusual racing action game on Xbox One.

Split/Second is a show with a race to the death. You have to rush at full speed through tracks full of dangers: something is exploding from all sides, and your opponents are putting a spoke in your wheels. If you want to achieve victory, you often need to act aggressively and knock your opponent out of the circle before he knocks you down. The project is ideal for players who like to get adrenaline during virtual races.

Best stunt racing

Burnout Paradise

Another game available on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. Burnout Paradise is considered by many players to be the best game in the series, and it was simply impossible not to include it in our list of “The best races for the Xbox Van.”

Of course, the game has its drawbacks: the lack of fast movement around the map and the inability to place markers on the map. But all the flaws are more than compensated by the gameplay. The developers have taken the open world the series is known for and packed it with over 100 different racing events. Take part in challenges or just explore the map: the world of Burnout Paradise can not be called anything other than a paradise for virtual racers. Oh, and we haven't yet said that you can do completely unimaginable tricks in this game.

The best car racing and more

The Crew 2

In the list of “Best racing games for Xbox One” there was a place for a game in which you get to drive more than just cars. The Crew 2 will allow players to race on land, on water and even in the air! The variety doesn't end with the choice of mode of transport: you can also choose from several sports disciplines. Let's say, if you like freestyle, choose it. Racers and motocrossers will also enjoy racing around virtual Los Angeles to their heart's content.

Pirate adventures, royal conspiracies, crime investigations in the Victorian era await you - few series can boast such a variety of setting and gameplay.

Few studios can boast that each of their games is extremely popular among gamers. Rockstar Games is one such company. With the exception of a few unsuccessful projects, the developers at Rockstar always make quality games for an adult audience. And since the latest opus of the “rock stars” was released not so long ago - we are, of course, talking about Red Dead Redemption 2 - we took a look at the company’s track record and remembered the best games of Rockstar Games.

2018 is about to come to an end. During the holidays, most gamers will finally be able to catch up and play games that they didn't have time for during the year. But what awaits us next year, 2019? In this article, the PiterPlay store will introduce you to the most anticipated games of 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

One way or another, almost all racing games have the same formula. They all have similar tracks, cars that can be unlocked, and many rivals who can rush past and only flash their rear lights. Forza Motorsport 7 takes this formula and expands it to new level featuring incredible graphics, hundreds of cars, over 150 different tracks and mechanics that keep players coming back for more.

The most important part of any racing game is what happens on the track. And in this component, Forza Motorsport 7 manages to deliver an amazing experience. Excellent handling makes the car more responsive than ever before. There are also some updates to the drifting experience, giving us an idea of how Forza Motorsport manages to straddle the line between true realism and a unique experience. The game aims to be fun while still challenging new riders and fans.

The graphics updates are also amazing. For starters, Forza looks better than ever before. Lighting and weather updates show off all angles of the cars you drive and the tracks. There are even more details inside the car, right down to the warning stickers on the doors. If you play in first person, you will notice that the car shakes when driving, which makes the experience even more realistic.

From start to finish, Forza Motorsport 7 offers an incredible experience that makes it the best racing game on Xbox One. There are plenty of options for where to go, graphics that captivate and, most importantly, no obstacles!

Pros:

  • Incredible graphics;
  • Hundreds of cars;
  • More than 150 tracks.

Minuses:

  • The list of cars does not include Toyota, Tesla or Lexus.

Project Cars 2 - the most realistic

When Project Cars burst onto the scene a few years ago, the game emphasized realism. This means there are plenty of amazing tracks and cars to be found, but the steep learning curve has made the title challenging for casual users. Project Cars 2 took the first part and improved on it, providing best experience without sacrificing realism.

Forza Horizon 4 – the best arcade game

As we've already mentioned, most racing games work in a similar way, but Forza Horizon takes a slightly different approach in hopes of keeping gamers engaged for as long as possible. The game changes seasons each week and offers new challenges, as well as Forzathon challenges and hourly online co-op challenges.

You will still compete against the computer if you don't want to race with friends or others real people. You're never forced to play online, but it's a great option and even if you lose your connection, your progress won't be lost.

One of the coolest features of the game is the emphasis on seasons. Users get access to specific events for spring, summer, and without having to wait all year to see the next season. Each week the weather will change, offering new opportunities and new ways to race, keeping the content fresh.

Seasons work so well because Forza Horizon 4 is simply great. Cars look sharp and the trees on the streets are detailed. Horizon 4 takes you through the British countryside as it literally comes to life. There's also a dynamic lighting system that makes the world even better, whether it's at dawn or dusk.

Pros:

Minuses:

  • Gameplay may feel repetitive;
  • No cars from Mitsubishi, Toyota or Lexus.

Dirt Rally 2.0 – the best rally

What do red dirt roads, mountain tracks and pouring rain have in common? The fact is that Dirt Rally 2.0 has it all, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with these races! By installing the game on your console, you get excellent racing with beautiful graphics.

Although the title itself is very beautiful, one of the main features of rallying is to get the car as dirty as possible, which Dirt Rally 2.0 does with a bang. Although the game is quite complex and does not contain detailed teaching aid, you can change the settings.

There is the opportunity to drive on the roads of six different countries, which is quite fun, rain or dry. Nevertheless, it is at at this stage The gameplay is experiencing problems. While each track feels unique, you may find yourself re-stumbling on some sections or doing it in reverse order.

One of the best updates to Dirt Rally 2.0 is the improved handling and the terrain you drive over. Whether you're zipping through wooded corners or anything in between, there's no need to battle the steering like before. When you combine this with tire wear and terrain changes, you get the most realistic rally experience possible.

Pros:

Minuses:

  • Stiff learning curve for beginners;
  • Playing the same tracks makes the gameplay repetitive.

F1 Racing 2018 – the best about Formula 1

F1 Racing 2018 brings all the speed straight to your Xbox One. There are 21 full laps and 4 short tracks, over a dozen different cars, each of which handles differently. You can choose a car that suits your racing style, or learn how to drive each one to beat other racers on the track.

Last year's iteration of the F1 franchise once again boasts stunning graphics. Cars, tracks and people have received a decent improvement. This is most noticeable in the moments when the car shines as it turns into a corner, or in the animations on the character's faces before and after the race. The scenery is also better, but when the car is going so fast that the trees become blurred, it becomes less noticeable.

Big gameplay updates are coming to career mode. There's still a 10-season campaign mode, but various tweaks have only made it better. The contract system allows the driver's contract to be renegotiated each season, which can bring benefits on the track, that is, if you achieve the team's goals. The research and development aspects have also received a restructure and are easier to access and update thanks to post-race interviews.

Pros:

  • Smooth and bright graphics;
  • Career mode updates;
  • AI makes racing harder than ever.

Minuses:

  • The game mechanics have not received any significant updates.

Conclusion

Every racing game on this list is fantastic in its own right. Ultra-realistic gameplay, top-notch rendering and more fun when crashing into a wall at high speed are the reasons why racing games are so popular on Xbox One. And Forza Motorsport 7 manages to surpass all of them.

There are many aspects to love about Forza Motorsport 7. When you combine the huge number of cars, dozens of tracks, impeccable graphics and excellent gameplay, it's easy to see why this is the best racing game available on Xbox One today.

Our selection of Xbox One games recently expanded to include Far Cry 5 and A Way Out, which wowed us with their expansive open world and intense co-op gameplay, respectively. There is a lot to be found in each genre truly outstanding games.

So let's take a look at the best games for Xbox One. This is a relatively small selection, consisting of 25 items, which includes only the undisputed favorites of their genres. And the competition among them is really tough.

Retired from the main list

If you told us that 96% of road accidents in Australia are caused by drivers overlooking the scenery and forgetting to pay attention to the road, we would believe it without question. All you have to do is play Forza Horizon 3, a game that will show you what your Xbox One is capable of. This is an incredibly beautiful racing simulator with carefully recreated car models and dynamic races on the roads of Australia, which will not leave indifferent both avid racers and fans of photorealistic graphics. This is definitely the best part of the Forza series and perhaps of all time.

The brand is not strongly associated with the Microsoft console, but this does not change the fact that Final Fantasy 15 turned out to be one of the best RPGs of the year. It combines a vast open world, created by all standards of Western RPGs, and a standard Final Fantasy anime atmosphere, in places taken to the point of healthy absurdity. This mixture works perfectly, thanks to which we have a rich world full of ferocious monsters, huge magical crystals and powerful magic.

At times, Final Fantasy 15 seems like a jumble of ideas, but all the elements presented ( strange world, exciting real-time combat and likable characters accompanying you throughout the adventure) add up to something incredible. This is perhaps the best Final Fantasy game in years; This game fully lives up to its expectations.

After numerous delays, Cuphead was finally released and instantly became one of the best games for Xbox One - it will definitely appeal to all shooter fans (you can find out more about it in our review). Visually, the game adheres to the cartoon style of the 1930s (particularly the Betty Boop shorts and Disney's Silly Symphonies series), while the gameplay is clearly inspired by the likes of Mega Man, Contra, Metal Slug and Gunstar Heroes.

The levels here are not particularly long, but the whole point lies in the complexity of the game, which requires you to be attentive and the ability to remember the sequence of actions of your opponents. Each boss is a real test of strength, and the pleasure of defeating them is simply beyond words.

Yes, we are well aware of all the problems of this collection, but it would be unreasonable to deny the skill of its creators. The genius of Bungie and the love of studio 343 in one bottle - this is how you can briefly describe this set that is significant for the entire industry.

A polished and updated collection of legendary games, the Master Chief Collection makes you wonder if Halo always looked this good. And guess what? At the time of its release, each part looked as worthy as this entire collection today.

The first minutes of a match in Rainbow Six: Siege look more like some kind of slasher film than a brave first-person shooter. There is a stomping sound coming from the roof, which does not bode well. People stuck in the house quickly make traps and obstacles, like the hero of the movie “Home Alone.” Enemies begin to ram the door, creating panic. This kind of tension is common in most horror games.

But as soon as you come face to face with the enemy team, the game throws you into the thick of a gritty and unforgiving war story where deep strategy comes first. Carefully plan your tactics and achieve victory in short but intense rounds of one of the most exciting multiplayer shooters on Xbox One.

The Halo series is known for its balance between campaign and multiplayer, but in this installment the developers focused on the multiplayer component. The story of Locke's pursuit of the Chief isn't as epic as we'd like, but we're excited for the franchise's most exciting multiplayer experience yet. Halo 5: Guardians invites us to plunge into the exciting world of online battles. The good old arena, brought back to Halo, is a classic platform for skirmishes, made according to all the canons of the genre.

If you want something more inventive, then the War Zone mode is at your service, where you will find large-scale battles based on a card collection system. Moreover, just recently studio 343 announced that new mode"Big team battles"and the updated version of Blood Gulch will be available for free. Welcome home.

Imagine a beautiful and elegant book with fairy tales... which slams shut over and over again, leaving bruises and bleeding wounds on your fingers. This is Ori and the Blind Forest, a game from Microsoft created by a group of retro enthusiasts given a decent budget (and freedom) to develop a worthy successor to classic platformers.

Not only is the game a great example of how to bring the recognizable mechanics of Metroid and Castlevania into a modern setting, combining it with a touching story, but it is also deservedly considered the most beautiful 2D project of all time. Therefore, passing by this masterpiece is highly recommended.

Shadow of War, with its rich world and carefully crafted mechanics, is the perfect sequel - the combat is more dynamic, the environment is more detailed, and all the elements interact perfectly with each other. In addition, this is one of the most beautiful games for Xbox One X. It is worth noting the impressive scale of the project. It will take you about 15 hours to complete the prologue alone; 25 – to open the entire map, so don’t think that a couple of evenings will be enough for you to complete it.

The Nemesis system, which is iconic for the series, has also been improved, which now includes entire story branches dedicated to battles with orcs - the development of these heroes depends on whether they won the battle with you or not. The game also added castles that can be captured and the ability to create your own armies. Even if you love The Lord of the Rings, the local open world will not leave you indifferent.

FIFA 18 introduced a number of innovations to the already established formula: for example, shots from long distance can now be more effective, and soccer ball spins in the air almost the same way as in real life. The AI of opponents has also improved, and each player has acquired his own unique style of play, which must be taken into account when drawing up team tactics.

The single-player mode also remains in place, where we have to get used to the role of the selected football player and which at times includes matches from the regular campaign. The latter, by the way, allowed FIFA 18 to overtake PES this year, because it includes the largest number of sports leagues among all football simulators. And finally, the FIFA mode has been improved Ultimate Team, which can now be completed without investing real money

Wolfenstein: The New Order is one of the most brutal, exciting and smart shooters of our generation. The sequel from MachineGames, called The New Colossus, confidently multiplies all the achievements of its predecessor by two. BJ Blaskowicz's touching story takes place in the 1960s in an alternate universe where America has been conquered by the Nazis.

Here we have a rather bold statement on the topic of prejudice, cruelty and insensitivity, which is not without quite appropriate humor. This is a game that makes you think, and, importantly, gives you plenty of shooting at crowds of Nazis, without being shy about particularly bloody scenes.

After the announcement of Battlefield 1, we were afraid that the World War II flop would be added to DICE's resume. The fact is that bloody and tragic military conflicts from history are not the best platform for a fun shooter. However, the anthology format presented in the game was extremely successful - with its help we were able to immerse ourselves in the thick of the action, viewing it from different points of view and without losing sight of how much human lives are devalued in war.

The story of how a British driver turns into a tank driver has incredible emotional depth that we haven't seen before in Battlefield. But this is not a tearful drama - this is an epic shooter, showing the war in all its details; and this is a unique project for the Xbox One console. The multiplayer mode, designed for 64 people, will keep you busy for many months. This is a game that exceeds all expectations.

Don't let the snowy landscapes fool you; This is a dynamic action adventure with explosions, chases and great gunplay, which until recently was only available to owners of (ahem) other consoles. A virtual walk through beautiful locations gracefully flows into a struggle for survival, after which it turns into stealth, leading to brutal action - before us is a worthy embodiment of a video game icon, presented on the scale of a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster.

At a time when other games try to impress us with open worlds with content that will last for weeks, Rise of the Tomb Raider is not shy about its nature - it is a thrill ride, designed to last about 10 hours, but every minute spent in it will leave a lot of positive emotions. Unless, of course, you count those moments where Lara dies due to your fault. There's not much fun in this.

A list of the best Xbox One games simply couldn't be complete without Forza. Improved AI, collision system, updated controls - all this in Forza Motorsport 7 is done at the highest level, as befits a worthy racing simulator. The cars are fun to drive, and you really feel like you're in the driver's seat when you're taking the car into a long drift or hitting a guardrail. It is worth recognizing that the game masterfully corrects all the shortcomings of the previous part.

Definitely before us Best game series that creates a realistic and engaging experience for the gamer. Of course, some of the races presented may seem a little difficult, but if you gain experience in numerous races and various championships, then you simply stop paying attention to it.

Somewhere during the fourth act, when real hell was happening on the screen, bullets were flying in all directions, blood was gushing in rivers, and we were using chainsaws to chop up enemies who were getting close and trying to kill snipers who were holed up in the distance, unimaginably beautiful music began to play. It was as if God himself was singing: “I’m wildly sorry for Gears of War: Judgment.” Apologies are accepted.

The bloodbath that is Gears of War 4 introduces us to an army of new monsters, each of which requires individual tactics, and new ideas for the combat system. This means it's the first sequel since Gears 2 that can surprise fans without sacrificing the excellent cover-based shooting that made the series famous. And we don't need more.

Most cooperative games come down to the fact that sometimes there are several doors in the levels that only two people can open. There are similar doors in A Way Out, but the game itself develops the concept of cooperative play much better.

Both players are constantly given different tasks, which are necessarily interconnected and which allow them to fully experience the importance of teamwork. You will find a lot of memorable scenes - from fixing a car to escaping from prison, which will ultimately lead to an incredibly strong ending.

Let's face it. The Resident Evil series has been feeling out of sorts for a few years now. And this situation has clearly dragged on. After the incredible success of RE 4, which essentially laid the foundations for the third-person shooter genre, the franchise began to gradually sink into mediocrity. However, in 2017, RE finally returned to its roots, reminding all its fans what real fear is. Resident Evil 7, which upended the established laws of the series, is a first-person survival horror game, which takes place on an old Louisiana farm, where main character looking for his missing wife. Villains straight out of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? On the spot.

Creepy body horror. One more tick. And, of course, a gripping story that doesn’t let go until the very end. Resident Evil 7 boldly breaks the stereotypes created in previous installments and offers us a truly unpredictable adventure. Of course, the iconic herbs for the series haven’t disappeared anywhere, but in everything else it’s perfect, which makes you wander through ominous corridors even when you most want to lock yourself in a safe room and not go out anywhere.

If a shooter has the ability to run along walls, jump off them and climb into gigantic mechanical Titans on the fly, then this shooter instantly attracts our attention. Titanfall 2 falls into this category. “Where is the single-player party?” we grumbled when the first Titanfall came out in 2014. “We convinced you!” responded the Respawn studio. “Here is a sequel with a story about a pilot and his Titan. In it, you'll gradually unlock weapons for the Titan, each of which looks like it could be used to blow the universe to pieces.

It will have a level where you can travel through time by pressing just one button. It will feature hours of exhilarating, inventive action that will make every shooter since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare look dull. Are you satisfied now? Yes, now we were happy. We also appreciated the Bounty Hunt multiplayer mode (a real nightmare for capitalists) and promise not to call Respawn studio employees lazy anymore.

Since Valve isn't going to make Team Fortress 3, why shouldn't Blizzard release it. The developers of World of Warcraft had previously avoided the shooter genre, and therefore it is still difficult to believe that Overwatch has become one of the best multiplayer FPS. The game features a motley cast of colorful heroes, each of whom has abilities that are supposed to upset the balance (Tracer can rewind time!), but in reality everything works surprisingly well.

That is, we can launch fire arrows, summon dragons, create walls of ice and rewind time as much as we like without feeling like cheaters. The game is already a year old, and the only thing I can complain about is Tracer’s unnatural accent. By this logic, if Blizzard ever decided to invite players to dinner, it would prepare so many dishes that the problem of world hunger would be solved in a matter of hours.

After the endless gameplay of the first game, which took away weeks of life from millions of gamers, what could Destiny 2 offer to surpass the original? The answer is obvious: everything is the same, but multiplied by two. In the sequel, almost every detail - space travel, weapon collecting and MMO elements - is expanded and polished to a shine.

Every little detail in the game indicates that Bungie has done a lot of work to improve the mistakes made in the first game, adding depth to the character progression system and diversifying the set of tasks that must be completed to progress. As a result, we got a game in which single-player battles, multiplayer battles and leveling up the hero look equally enjoyable.

After the previous parts, it might seem that the series simply has nothing to surprise us with, but Far Cry 5 once again raises the bar of quality to a new level thanks to its excellent design and rich world. It's a more straightforward game, with routine side quests giving way to the series' signature action and mayhem. Yes, we still liberate bases and shoot villains in huge locations, but now there is no need to spend long hours crafting or searching for towers.

All this is a thing of the past, and the game concentrates on shootouts, fires and clashes with wild animals. The chosen setting is also interesting - the fictional state of Montana turned out to be quite realistic. Moreover, you can play through the game in co-op, and if you get tired of it, you can always switch to the arcade level editor and create a couple of new locations.

The biggest gaming blockbuster deserves a place in the top five. Even at the time of its release, GTA 5 was a wonderful and meticulously designed project with a gorgeous open world, and on Xbox One it sparkled with new colors, as it featured improved graphics, a lot of new content and the ability to beat up pedestrians from a first-person view.

In addition, the game has acquired a new online component – a cooperative heist mode. Thus, Rockstar has given us a vast and rich world in which from the very first seconds you can do whatever comes into your head. After all, this is what we expect from GTA.

Minecraft, whose fame continues to this day, is a game that can be both surprisingly simple and incredibly complex. Whether you're building your world in Creative mode or trying to survive another day in Survival mode, Mojang's masterpiece generates unique and unrepeatable situations every time. This is a world in which you can spend an eternity.

Moreover, this world is constantly evolving, delighting us with new textures, new gameplay features and other improvements that erase even hints of stagnation. If you associate Minecraft only with the ubiquitous green blocks, then it's time to catch up.

4. Assassin's Creed Origins

Assassin's Creed Origins is the long-awaited reboot that the series needed so much. And it turned out exactly as we hoped. In addition, the game can easily be called one of the reasons to buy an Xbox One X console, because the updated graphics look simply amazing. This Assassin's Creed has turned into a full-fledged RPG with an open world, character leveling, creative kills and flexible gameplay. An adventure in ancient Egypt will delight many with a lot of side quests, details and secrets that you can search for days on end.

A recycled combat system Works great when paired with a fully customizable equipment system. (Double blades and a poison shield? A sword that increases health and a bow with controlled arrows? You can craft all of these without any problems). Add here a witty plot presentation, as well as an impressive number of options for completing each mission, and you get the perfect reboot of the Assassin’s Creed series, which, symbolically, tells the story of the origins of the Assassin Order.

3. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

If we were not familiar with the history of the creation of this game, then we would confidently say that the Konami studio developed the last part of Metal Gear Solid without the participation of Hideo Kojima, since the game is very different from the master’s past creations. Yes, it was not without the series' typical jokes, crazy mechanisms and even crazier conspiracy theories that seemed to be collected from the depths of the Internet, but this is clearly not one of those games that usually comes from the pen of Kojima.

Shifting the focus to a massive open world with multiple missions not only made the game a master class for all stealth action game developers, but also gave players freedom of choice - in essence, we became directors of our own spy films. Did you manage to pull off an intricate multi-level heist? Know that the scripts have nothing to do with it - this is solely your merit.

Things don't go according to plan and you have to detonate explosives planted in an enemy base and then fly off into the sunset on a mechanical chicken? So, at this moment you were the author of the script. In the past, many have noted that Hideo Kojima enjoys quoting his favorite movies more than creating games. But MGS 5 proves this judgment wrong - Kojima wants us to quote our favorite films ourselves. And we will gladly spend several hundred hours on this.

We knew from the very beginning what awaited us. Something big and something buggy, because we are talking about Bethesda. Fallout 4 is an example of natural evolution - it is a game in which the sometimes meaningless exploration of the world, pleasant humor and the system of moral choice from the previous two parts coexist with elements new to the genre. This, of course, is not a revolutionary breakthrough, but the voice acting of the main character, and (shock!) the ability not to look into boxes to pick up their contents, definitely benefited the game.

Don’t think that periodic drops in frame rate and bugs of varying degrees of severity are left behind, but you’ll be less angry at them, because the game masterfully juggles the attention of gamers, switching it from one detail to another. Bethesda studio has once again packed into one project material that could be enough for a couple of games of different genres, presenting us with perhaps the most intense game of this generation. Once you start it, you will be stuck in it for many weeks.

Arguably the most addictive RPG of all time, it features a distinctive and memorable storyline, a branch of contracts that are each more surprising than the last, and a set of amazing side quests, some of which are deeper in depth than the stories told in most modern games. The world of Witcher 3 is truly worthy of being called a world - it is full of political intrigue, its own folklore and, of course, monsters that need to be cut into small pieces.

A separate advantage of the project from CD Projekt RED is a set of completely free DLCs, the first of which, Hearts of Stone, we officially call the reason that the game came first in this collection. It's a beautiful, inventive and genre-defining game that won't be forgotten decades from now.
