Olympiad program

The School Olympiad is a competitive test for boys and girls (separately).

The competitive test consists of two tasks: practical and theoretical.

The practical task consists of performing exercises from the basic part of the approximate physical education program in gymnastics (acrobatics), basketball, applied physical training.

Practical part

Gymnastics. The gymnastics task includes performing acrobatic exercises, which are strictly mandatory. If the established sequence of performing elements is changed, the exercise is not evaluated and the participant receives 0 points.

The exercise must have a clearly defined beginning and end, include connecting elements that give the combination a complete look, and be performed together without unjustified pauses along the acrobatic path.

If a participant fails to perform any element included in the exercise, or replaces it with another, the score is reduced by the cost of the element indicated in the program.

The exercises include elements that participants can replace with more complex ones specified in the program. In this case, the score for the difficulty of the exercise increases.

One attempt is given to complete the exercise.

The total duration of exercises should not exceed 1 minute 15 seconds for girls and 1 minute and 30 seconds for boys. If the person performing the exercise does not meet the deadline, the execution is stopped and only the completed part is evaluated.

One attempt is given to complete.

If the difficulty of the completed part of the exercise is less than 6 points, the exercise is considered not completed and the participant receives 0 points.

All elements performed by participants must be performed technically correctly, in accordance with the requirements of the gymnastic style.

The judges evaluate the quality of the exercise in comparison with ideal possible option execution.

When grading performances, each judge deducts from 10 points any deductions made by the participant when performing elements and combinations.

Errors during execution can be: minor - 0.1 points, medium - 0.3 points, gross - 0.5 points. Error of not completing an element – 0.5 points. Falling and going beyond tumbling track are punished with a deduction of 1 point.

The main errors that are punished by a deduction of equal value for an acrobatic element include:

Violation of the technique of performing an element or connection, leading to its severe distortion beyond recognition;

Loss of balance leading to a fall;

Fixation of a static element in less than 2 seconds;

When performing jumps, land in a sitting position or on your back.

In case of an unjustified pause of more than 5 seconds while performing an exercise, it is stopped and not evaluated.

If an acrobatic exercise is performed by boys for more than 1 minute 15 seconds, and by girls more than 1 minute 05 seconds, it is stopped and only the completed part is evaluated. A warning signal is given 10 seconds before the time control.

The final grade is given as the sum of two grades (for difficulty and for execution, minus a deduction for violations). Maximum score: 25 points.

Physical culture is currently an integral part educational process. Along with Olympiads in exact sciences and humanities, school classes are held as part of physical education lessons. Olympic Games, including gymnastics. Like any event, the school holds competitions in several stages.

Competition rules

The competitive part of the Olympiad contains two stages - practical and theoretical. During the Gymnastics Olympiad, held among schoolchildren, the mandatory stage in the practical part is performing exercises.

The optimal number of days for holding the Olympiad in physical education in the direction of “gymnastics” is three days.

Boys and girls who have achieved success in school competitions, after 11th grade they can go to train in sports clubs in the chosen direction, although, of course, it is better to start doing gymnastics professionally from a junior school age. The knowledge base and developed techniques can be useful in a future profession.
