By the age of 40, the ligaments connecting the upper eyelids with the levators also weaken(the muscles that lift them), all the eye muscles dry out and begin to atrophy. During this procedure, an incision is made along the natural fold line, through which excess skin and fiber are removed. But not everyone’s health and financial well-being allows them to go under the knife, and, in addition, the result plastic surgery is not always predictable.

Collagen masks are recommended to be used in a course of 10 sessions with a break of 3 months.

Lymphatic drainage

Recently, lymphatic drainage of the eyelids has become popular among cosmetologists. This procedure is aimed at restoring the functioning of the lymphatic system. Indeed, due to the influence of negative factors, lymph circulation slows down, lymphatic vessels become clogged, as a result of which toxins, harmful substances and excess fluid accumulate in the body. Therefore, this procedure helps to remove puffiness from the skin around the eyes, remove dark circles under the lower eyelid, and smooth out wrinkles. In addition, lymphatic drainage is recommended for preventive measures to improve the elasticity and firmness of the skin. Massage can be manual or hardware.

Manual lymphatic drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is carried out both in beauty salons by the hands of a specialist and at home. In the first case, the effect will appear faster, but you can still master the technique of performing this massage and do it yourself.

  • run your finger along the edge of the lower eyelid, pressing lightly, moving towards the inside of the eye;
  • apply a few gentle pressures to the inner corners of the eyes;
  • now return to the outer corner along the edge of the upper eyelid, running with two fingers (index and middle) with light pressure;
  • Using light pressure, move your fingers from the nose to the temples along the edge of the lower eyelid.

Hardware lymphatic drainage

Hardware lymphatic drainage is well tolerated by patients of any age category, with any skin type, and there are no problems after it. side effects, and the result will not take long to arrive. There are several techniques for performing this procedure, but for the skin around the eyes, a microcurrent device using electrical impulses is used. As a rule, the procedure is carried out using special cosmetic products based on natural ingredients, such as aloe, chamomile, etc. Several sessions of this technique will not only remove swelling of the eyelids and remove “bags” under the eyes, but also remove scars and wrinkles.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is an operation to correct the shape and structure of the eyelids, removing excess skin and fatty tissue from the upper and lower eyelids. It is most common in plastic surgery and is often performed in combination with other anti-aging procedures. The goals of blepharoplasty are:

  • lifting the drooping upper eyelid;
  • removal of “bags” under the eyes;
  • elimination of folds and wrinkles around the eyes;
  • change in eye shape.

The procedure itself consists of making an incision in the eyelid, excision of excess skin and fat that protrudes. After this, the incisions are sutured with special medical threads. After the operation, bruising and swelling around the eyes may appear, which disappear after 2-3 weeks. Scars after incisions are usually located in natural folds, so they are invisible. After some time, they become lighter and may disappear completely.

If you decide to have surgery for an eyelid lift, you need to consult an ophthalmologist, therapist, surgeon and other necessary specialists and find out if you have one of the following contraindications to this type of plastic surgery:

  • oncological diseases;
  • diabetes mellitus;
  • thyroid diseases;
  • high intraocular pressure;
  • retinal detachment, glaucoma, dry eyes;
  • disorders of cardiovascular activity;
  • severe chronic diseases.

There are several options for this operation, which can be performed both simultaneously and separately.

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to tighten the upper eyelid, the structure of which has been damaged for any reason - be it a congenital feature, a consequence of some disease or as a result of muscle weakening. This type of surgery can be done simultaneously with a forehead skin tightening. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia.

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty of the lower eyelids eliminates the bags formed as a result of loss of elasticity of the skin, in which excess fat and fluid accumulate. During diagnosis, the surgeon determines the level of skin elasticity and selects the necessary procedure:

  • transconjunctival blepharoplasty - the incision is made with inside eyelids, which will help avoid scars;
  • plastic surgery of the lower eyelids - an incision is made under the eyelashes, due to which the scars are also almost invisible;
  • removal of excess skin - an incision is made below the line of the lower eyelid.

Circular lift

A circular lift is a radical solution to correct several problems associated with a violation of the structure of the eyelids. It involves lifting both the upper and lower eyelids at the same time. Incisions are made in the crease of the eyelid and under the eyelash line. A circular lift allows you to get maximum results in minimal time spent.

Laser blepharoplasty

Laser blepharoplasty is performed without deep surgical intervention and lasts about 3-4 hours under local anesthesia. During the operation, the area of tissue around the orbit of the eyes is affected using a laser device. Full recovery passes in a week.

The advantages of the laser procedure are undeniable:

  • the size of the laser wound is significantly smaller than the scalpel cut, which means rapid healing and a significant reduction in the rehabilitation period;
  • due to the high temperature of the beam, small vessels are immediately cauterized, which reduces the likelihood of swelling and bruising under the eyes after surgery;
  • absence of a scar after wound healing;
  • minimal risk of infectious diseases;
  • no need for hospitalization;
  • lasting effect lasting 4–5 years, sometimes more.

Thread lift (thread lifting)

The essence of thread lifting is that special biocompatible threads are introduced under the overhanging skin, which become a frame, moving the tissue to the desired position. At the same time, wrinkles are smoothed out, and sagging skin returns to its previous position. The threads are especially strong, and specific cones with polylactic acid reliably fix facial tissues. They stimulate active neocollagenesis, that is, the formation of young cells. This increases the elasticity of the skin, since a frame is formed from its own tissues.

Several types of threads are used for thread lifting:

  • non-absorbable (surgical) - polypropylene threads that are inserted into the subcutaneous fat layer. They can be perfectly smooth, or they can have notches and cones that firmly fix them in the right places;
  • absorbable (biodegradable) - threads made of caprolac with lactic acid. Known as "bionithreads". Most often they have notches and are overgrown with natural tissues, forming a durable frame;
  • APTOS Needle - threads of special strength, related to the surgical type. Used for clients over 50 years of age with pronounced age-related changes.

The procedure is carried out for 30–40 minutes under local anesthesia. It is easy to carry and gives excellent result up to 2.5 years.

Lifting with special threads does not require long-term rehabilitation, has a small number of contraindications and practically does not provoke the development of complications.

Pay attention to possible contraindications:

  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • diabetes;
  • tissue atrophy and ptosis;
  • oncology;
  • various inflammatory processes;
  • cicatricial skin changes;
  • some eye diseases.

Endoscopic lift

Endoscopic lifting is used when it is necessary to correct the shape of the eyes, eliminate “bags” and tear troughs. This is a minimally invasive operation in which minimal incisions are made on the skin into which an endoscope is inserted, and with its help tissue correction is carried out. No stitches are required upon completion, healing is quick and without complications. The incisions are usually made in hidden places, so they are almost invisible. The procedure can even be performed under local anesthesia and lasts up to 70 minutes.

Compared to blepharoplasty, this procedure has several advantages:

  • the duration of the procedure is significantly less;
  • the tissues do not move towards the temples, which ensures that the appearance of the face remains unchanged;
  • long-term result - up to 8 years;
  • the natural shape of the eyes is restored;
  • minimal risk of complications.

There are many ways to tighten and correct the skin around the eyes. So there is no reason to be upset and grumble at fate for an unsuccessful eye shape or a sad look due to a heavy overhanging eyelid. Having determined the cause of the problem, choose the one you like best and convenient way self-improvement, prepare the necessary “tools” - cosmetics or products for making them at home, be patient, and - into battle! And remember that the main condition for success is regularity.

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest, which is why wrinkles appear on it first. Not everyone can afford cosmetic procedures, and the results may not always be satisfactory. Exercises to tighten the skin around the eyes – good way keep your face youthful and fresh using natural means.
